Nurturing Your Child’s First Steps (9 Months – 2 Years)
We are delighted to introduce our brand-new playgroup setting in the beautiful village of Dorney. Specially designed for our youngest learners aged 9 months to 2 years, the Dorney site provides a gentle, loving introduction to early years education.
Our ultimate goal is to nurture your child’s confidence and curiosity during these formative months, creating a seamless, natural transition to our established Taplow setting (for ages 2–4 years) when they are ready.
Our Philosophy: Care Tailored to Your Baby
At St Nicolas Playgroup, Dorney, we provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where your child can thrive. We understand that routines are crucial at this age, which is why our daily schedules remain highly flexible to adapt to your baby’s individual needs.
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, our days are a balanced blend of responsive care and joyful discovery:
· Essential Care: Dedicated time for feeding, sleeping, and changing tailored to your home routine.
· Play-Based Learning: Rich sensory exploration, music, storytelling, and arts & crafts.
· Outdoor Adventures: Daily outdoor play to encourage physical development and a love for nature.
Flexible Sessions & Hours
We operate during term-time and offer flexible session structures to fit around busy family lives. Our core opening hours are 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
